Innov'ATM and KMITL collaborate to develop automated unmanned aircrafts systems management (UTM) around Bangkok's airport.

A meeting was presided over by Jean SOL MACHER, Head of the economic section of Bangkok together with KMITL and Innov’ATM.

The kick-off meeting related to the Collaborative development of Automated Unmanned aircraft systems traffic Management (UTM) by KMITL and Innov’ATM.

This project, partially funded by the French government (FASEP grant), will support the Thai Government in defining a new policy for the commercial use of UAVs, while maintaining a high level of safety in low-altitude airspace. 

Context of the project:

Based on the current Innov’ATM UTM solution and the new KMITL UTM concept, 4 automated UTM applications will be provided: 

  • Geo-awareness, 
  • Flight Authorization, 
  • Network Identification 
  • Traffic information.

 

The UTM applications are part of “The Development of Technology for Unmanned Aircraft in Compliance with Safety and Security Measures of the State” which was initiated by KMITL, based in and being conducted in Thailand.
